So far, I have tried 3 recipes from this book and they were all excellent! 1. American Chop Suey (The pasta sauce was so fricken licken good. I couldn't get enough of this sauce. The whole dish went well together. My favorite so far!) 2. Lobster Quesadillas (I didn't have lobster, so I used shrimp instead. Very good and yummy!). 3. Chorizo Garbage Plate (I just made this today and it was really good. Everything blended well together. I will be making this again!)
A lot of people complain that there are no pictures in this book. That is true, but most of the recipes are on youtube if you search for the restaurant. Don't type the recipe name. It won't come up. You have to type the restaurant. For example, if I wanted to search for "american chop suey" on youtube, I would search for the restaurant name: Red Arrow Diner.

So my dad had me order this for my husband while in the hospital right before he died. While the food is not very healthy, and we are fairly healthy eaters, this will probably be one cook book that stays in our collection.
