Those Crazy Germans! A Lighthearted Guide to Germany Review

I purchased this book for a friend who is going to spend some time in Germany during her trip through Europe.
The book is really a "lighthaerted Guide". It is entertaining and easy to read. It makes appetite to see if the things written in the book hold true. As a German I must say that most of the things in the book are true while a few seem to be more unique observations of the author which he turns into generalizations. But since it is not a dead serious guide, I found it acceptable. The book is to a certain extend subjective as the author admits is a bit biased and the content seems to be limited to his experience, which nonetheless is a lot.
If you are looking for lists of recommended bars, hotels or restaurants to go to or if you intend to learn some of the language, this is the wrong book for you. But if you want very good entertainment and an idea of what Germany is like, this is a very good start.
I would recommend to get it for your flight to Germany.

Great but... - Raquel -
This book was great, just in need of a good edit! It was informative and entertaining and I would recommend it.

Great Guide to Germany - Francine Kleinpaste - BEAVER FALLS, PA, US
This is an excellent, light-hearted, down-to-Earth, but very accurate guide to Germany. It's an easy read (I've read it three times, once since arriving here), and very much worth the read for anyone traveling to Germany for the first time. I'm navigating Bavaria on my own during the days while my husband works, and this book has gotten me through a lot of social situations that would have otherwise left me clueless. Overall, it's a great, fun book to read before any trip to Germany.

Almost nothing on the book - Gemma Nicole - USA
I bought this book thinking it would tell me a lot about Germany but the truth is it has very little information. Most of the things are so well known that writting them in a book is not even worth it (like Autobahn driving and Oktoberfest)

I think this was a waste of money, not a big waste of time because it takes like half an hour to read anyway.
